Milosevic's Motives

http://articles.latimes.com/1999/jan/18/news/mn-64774

While the author of this article makes reasonable assumptions of the root of Milosevic's violence, I still believe that there is no reasonable way to justify his actions. It doesn't matter if he decided to systematically kill thousands of people to build a greater Serbia, to prove that only he can protect his nation from the outside world, to remain in power, or to seek revenge on those who have taken advantage of Serbs in the past.
Despite this, I do find it interesting, if Milosevic's intentions were to seek revenge, how hypocritical his actions were. To redeem and honor the innocent lives lost, he took more innocent lives. There is so much irony in that.

  1. “To redeem the honor of the innocent lives lost, he took more innocent lives.” That does seem weird. I don’t know how someone can think that somehow that makes sense. I believe that to fix his past actions he should try to protect those who are living, not kill more of them.
I like how you organized your posts and had something other than just plan facts on your topic. Your reflections are really interesting and make good points about the article.
