Milosevic wrongly accused? NATO the real offender?

The link above leads to a website promoting the release of Slobodan Milosevic. Many people actually believe that Milosevic was wrongly accused of war crimes, and that NATO has accused him of so to justify their own "murderous aggression".
The site says Milosevic was kidnapped from his homeland to be tried for war crimes. He represented himself at the Hauge, where the U.S. funded pro-NATO International Criminal Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia is located.
Milosevic is also ill; he suffers from cardiovascular disease. Because of the long, stressful days in court, the lacking of proper medical care resulting in Milosevic's worsening health, and the NATO prison he is staying in having "already caused the deaths of inmates through inhumane treatment and lack of proper medical care", the writers of this website believe NATO is intentionally attempting to weaken Milosevic.
This website also describes Milosevic as a hero, defending his people from imperialistic aggression, and that the U.S. and NATO are the "real war criminals", causing civil war in the area.
It shocks me that someone is trying to justify the genocidal the actions of Milosevic. It's understandable why he might have felt his people were being threatened (being the minority in areas where, in the past, they had been susceptible to mistreatment and even genocide), but that doesn't legitimize the violence he inflicted on the Croats and the Bosnians. The reality is, Milosevic took the lives of thousands of innocent people by systematically killing them. This was genocide, and you can't justify such a crime.

  1. I personally feel that this differing opinion makes for a good debate. Whether or not he is innocent really depends on who you are asking and if they were affected by the genocide. What is really interesting is that this article points out events and puts the light in the other hand by accusing an other party of killing many many people.
